Brisque Pack provides customized, high performance workflows that streamline the step-and-repeat process. Each workflow has its own attributes, and you select it according to your preferred step-and-repeat editing software, meeting the stringent requirements of the packaging industry.
Highly efficient Packaging Control File (PCF) workflow
PCF is a step-and-repeat control file standard unique to Brisque Pack. PCF step-and-repeat control files are created by the Creo StepOne application, or a number of other popular step-and-repeat applications.
The PCF format dramatically improves the efficiency of PostScript-based packaging workflows. A conventional step-and-repeat file contains many iterations of the same element, making file handling slow and inefficient. A PCF file, however, contains only a description of the step-and-repeat layout and the die-cut plan, plus links to a file describing a single element.
The linked element can be a high-resolution RIPed file on Brisque Pack, or a PostScript file included in the PCF itself. During output, Brisque Pack reads the RIPed file, repeating it on-the-fly according to the layout description. The Brisque Pack workflow leads to substantial savings in space and RIPing time, and fully incorporates the efficiencies of the RIP Once, Output Many concept into the packaging prepress industry.
