Abydos Designer is a process
modelling tool that has been specifically designed to integrate
with Remedy-based solutions including the Remedy Help Desk
and Change Management applications.
Abydos Designer is the only product that dynamically interacts
with Remedy ARS to:
a) translate process diagrams into workflow rules in Remedy
applications,
b) graphically display existing process logic,
This adds enormous value to Remedy by allowing managers,
administrators and end-users to create, view and maintain
business process logic from a set of process diagrams. Abydos
Designer may be used to support any new or existing Remedy
based applications.
Abydos Designer and ITIL
The IT Infrastucture Library (ITIL) processes are now widely
accepted as a best-practice framework for managing IT services.
Abydos Designer now provides the means to directly translate
ITIL processes into a working application and to adapt your
processes using a simple graphical environment as your IT
services evolve.
Abydos Designer for the Helpdesk
Those customers that already use, or are considering using
Remedy's Help Desk application can use Abydos Designer to
manage process logic. Simply by adding a tab and a table
field to the HelpDesk form, processes configured in Abydos
Designer can be used to auto-generate tasks relating to
helpdesk tickets.
By defining different processes for different categories
of problem or incident, you can be sure that the correct
set of tasks will always be assigned in the correct order
to the relevant work-queue.
